I'm
heading into my 4th year at Washington
University (wow!), and my
3rd year working for our cosmic ray astrophysics group. I recently became
a recipient of NASA's Graduate Student Researcher Program. Not only do I
get funding for a year, but I get to work with some collaborators at Goddard
Space Flight Center in Greenbelt,
MD. My project will
investigate solar modulation of galactic cosmic rays during the last 10
years. I've got some of the best data ever collected on cosmic rays,
so hopefully my results will help astronauts stay safe. Aside from that,
my plans for the coming year are work, work, work -- and then astrophysics
summer school in Erice,
Italy!
